Retention Policies
Intro
You may have specific requirements (or preferances) when it comes to how long you need to retain your logs, metrics and traces for.
With qryn cloud you can choose between 4 options:
- 7 days
- 14 days
- 30 days
- 90 days
Whichever option you chose when enabling qryn cloud, will dictate how long before each row expires.
Pricing
Each retention policy affects the cost per GB ingested. Shorter retention policies are cheaper, while longer retention policies cost more as they take up more space for longer.

Updating retention policy
You can change your retention policy at anytime in the Gigapipe UI. Simply update your policy in the qryn cloud page and all data ingested from that point on will be inserted with the new number of days before deletion.
Any data ingested prior to the change, will be billed at the original rate. All data ingested after changing the policy will be billed on the new associated rate.
